Synchronization with encryption

I am a fan of privacy and not publishing personal documents on the Internet. Unfortunately, it is also the most convenient way of working if, like me, you work every day on several different devices. Therefore, even before the release of the previous version, a clear plan appeared - I need to add encryption to the synchronization mechanism. And that is exactly what happened - it will appear in the next release.

Keepmark 1.24.0

Today I can finally announce the release of another major version of Keepmark - 1.24.0. The main feature that has been provided is the synchronization engine for workspaces. With this engine there are 2 implementations - synchronization to a local folder on a hard drive, and WebDav synchronization. There are also some minor fixes and improvements.

Files synchronization engine

Recently, there was a lack of releases and it was caused by many factors. However, work on the Keepmark is moving forward. One of the reasons for the silence was the large functionality I’m working on - a file synchronization engine for the Keepmark. I haven’t finished working on it yet, but there’s not much left. Within the synchronization engines there will be 2 mechanisms for start - WebDav, and synchronization with another local folder.

Keepmark 1.23.0

After a two-month break I can announce the release of Keepmark 1.23.0. The main feature is the support for EML files - an email format, supported by Thunderbird and others. In connection with the implementation of this file format, there have also been minor changes in downloading e-mails.

EML files support

Lately it has been a bit quieter on the blog. This has to do with my private matters, as well as a bigger topic I’ve been working on recently in Keepmark - support for EML files. This support is in several areas - previewing such a file and its attachments, indexing the content of such a file, and rewriting the mechanism of downloading e-mails to store them in this format (instead of HTML).
