Work on the new version of Keepmark is in progress, but it’s still not enough to show you the new release. This time I’m mainly focused on creating a new editor for Keepmark. The current one is based on HTML view, which makes it one of the heaviest Keepmark components (not counting e.g. PDF preview). This doesn’t give me much freedom to embed it in different places in the application. I decided not to invest any more time in the old editor and started working on something lighter which will replace the old solution. Below is a small screen, how the work is progressing.

Working on new Editor

One of the main problems is that there is no ready-made component that I could use in my application, so I actually started from scratch, viewing the sources of MarkdownWriterFx editor. However, this is not the effect I want to achieve - here I am going more in the direction of working similar to Typora. In the first releases this probably won’t replace the current mechanism yet, but with version to version it will get better and better (as you can see with the whole Keepmark).
