Lately I have the feeling that simple tasks have ended. Or maybe it’s about squeezing as much value as possible out of the functionalities that already exist? Anyway, the work continues - I’ve come back to the new markdown editor, which I’ve mentioned in previous posts, and which you can see for example when editing the content of a task. This time I’m trying to make it the main markdown editor for the documents module.

Working on new markdown editor

In the screenshot above you can see how currently looks the development version of the new editor.

Because of the lack of an out-of-the-box solution that I can use, I need more time than usual to do this. I would like to roll back the old editor slowly, but it will probably stay for editing HTML files (e.g. creating emails). In the upcoming version there will be an option to enable the new editor for markdown files, but I’ll still leave the old one as the default setting (I’m not sure if the new one will be stable enough to offer it to everyone as a default solution).
