Starting work on the current version of Keepmark, I had a slightly different picture of the final stage. However, at the moment, one of the biggest priorities for me is to go through Google verification. In version 1.17.0 it took a lot of time to rework email synchronization and introduce additional API for Gmail.

Keepmark 1.17.0

The big advantage of the above changes is a significant speed up of downloading and sending messages for email accounts.

In Keepmark 1.17.0 I implemented support for AES encryption. As usual, I tried not to define my standard, but to use one of the already available on the market. You can read more about encryption in the previous post.

Of the smaller changes I can also mention:

  • automatic download of the avatar for contacts (Gravatar integration)
  • improvements in the resource renaming window
  • upgrading JavaFx to version 14
  • automatic creation of persons when downloading RSS feeds
  • possibility to open a selected repository folder in the default system application.

And couple fixes of known bugs.
